ANNOUNCING H-Migration: H-Net Network on the Global History of Migration

Sponsored by H-Net, Humanities and Social Sciences On-line, Michigan State University and by the International Institute for Social History Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

ABOUT H-Migration

H-Migration is dedicated to enhancing scholarly communication about the global history of migration and the acculturation of immigrants and their descendants into their new society. The list aims at being truly international. The time-span we want to cover ranges from Medieval (and earlier if possible) to present day migration. The list welcomes tips, suggestions, queries and announcements from all corners of the globe. It will post queries about the location of primary sources on specific topics, the use of this material and the interpretation of findings. The list will announce books and journals, conferences, new web-sites, jobs, fellowships and calls for papers.

The H-Migration list is co-edited by Melanie Shell-Weiss, Leo Lucassen and Marlou Schrover.

Like all H-Net lists, H-Migration is moderated to edit out material that, in the editors' opinion, is not germane to the list, involves technical matters (such as subscription management requests), is inflammatory, or violates evolving, yet common, standards of Internet etiquette. H-Net's procedure for resolving disputes over list editorial practices is Article II, Section 2.20 of our bylaws, located at www2.h-net.msu.edu/about/by-laws.html.

Logs and more information can also be found at the H-Net Web Site, located at www2.h-net.msu.edu/~migrate.
