The HOPE project brings together a partnership of thirteen European social history institutions with highly significant but scattered collections, comprising to date at least 3 million digital items (pictures, books, archival documents, sound, moving image et cetera). The project will make these items available through Europeana, the European digital library. The collections will also be searchable via LabourHistory.net. HOPE falls under the aegis of IALHI, the network organization for social history archives, libraries and documentation centers, and is co-financed by the European Commission.
Recently, the first 190.000 digital items were uploaded to Europeana. You can browse and search them via

or directly in Europeana.
