"Unsere Sehnsucht in Worte kleiden" - Eugen Prager (1876 - 1942) : der Lebensweg eines sozialdemokratischen Journalisten / Ilse Fischer ; Rüdiger Zimmermann. - Bonn : Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Historisches Forschungszentrum, 2005. - 242 S. : Ill. - ISBN 3-89892-417-3
This publication describes the journalistic career of Eugen Prager, a Jewish-born social democrat from Breslau, which led him from Offenbach via Cologne, Erfurt and Leipzig to Berlin. He became famous for his book "Geschichte der USPD" [History of the USPD] and his vehement anti-national socialist works published by J.H.W. Dietz Nachf.
For the time after 1933 the constraints he and his family had to endure are described with the help of personal documents and memories of his children, and his and his wife's life until their murder by the SS is reconstructed. A personal bibliography and private letters written between 1937 and 1940 complete this work.
