Fifth European Social Science History Conference
Berlin, Germany, 24-27 March 2004
Call for papers
The deadline for proposing sessions and papers for the fifth ESSHC has been extended to May 15. The Fifth European Social Science History Conference will be held at the Humboldt University in Berlin, on 24-27 March 2004.
The network on Labour and Working Class History will use this extension to round of the formation of a number of session on which we have room for one more paper. The topics of these sessions are:
- Labour internationalism
- When farm workers meet the industrial world
- Lock-outs
- Internationalisation and technical development: the third industrial revolution and workers
- New developments in the history of unemployment
- Conceptualisations of labour
- Working cooperatives
- Post-1967 German trade union history
- New directions in Communist historiography
- Ethnicity and labour organisations
We cordially invite colleagues who want to contribute a paper on one of these topics to do so. Of course, as the deadline has been extended to May 15, papers and sessions on other topics can also be proposed until that date.
