The bulk of the Chris and Marti Alston papers document their experiences as community activists in the redevelopment of the Forest Park urban renewal area. To a lesser extent, the collection documents the Alstons' involvement in various social justice and human rights causes. - Bob Barber Collection
11 MBs, 1973-1979, worked in California Bay Area as a freelance reporter covering UFW's elections under the NLRB in 1976. Lots of material on Teamsters; lots of interviews with UFW organizers, union members, Teamsters and growers. The major subject covered in this collection is California's Agricultural Labor Relations Board.
