The International Federation for Research in Women's History has issued a call for applications for the Ida Blom–Karen Offen Prize in Transnational Women's and Gender History.
The deadline has been extended to 31 January 2020.
To apply for the prize submit a short bio and an abstract that briefly summarizes the book and explains its contribution to the field of transnational women's and gender history by 31 January 2020.
Semi-finalists will then be asked to send complete books (preferably digitally) by 1 March 2020.
Books may be in any language but the committee would appreciate if initial submission of bios and abstracts could be in English.
Works eligible should have a publication date of 2016 to 2019. Only monographs are eligible, but they may be co-authored.
Board Members and Officers of the International Federation for Research in Women's History are not eligible to apply.
The winner will be announced at the International Committee of Historical Sciences Conference in Poznan, Poland in August 2020.
The committee is chaired by Vera Mackie (Wollongong) and the committee includes Manuela Martini (Lyon), Ann-Catrin Östman (Abo Akademi) and Eileen Boris (UC Santa Barbara).
The committee members are fluent in several languages but will call on expert readers for languages not covered by the committee.
