New CWIHP Papers

The Woodrow Wilson Center's Cold War International History Project (CWIHP) is pleased to announce the web publication of three new CWIHP Working Papers.

  • 28: László Gábor Borhi, The Merchants of the Kremlin: The Economic Roots of Soviet Expansion in Hungary
  • 34: Yang Kuisong, Changes in Mao Zedong's Attitude towards the Indochina War, 1949-1973
  • 35: Vojtech Mastny, NATO in the Beholder's Eye: Soviet Perceptions and Policies, 1949-1956

At this time, the WP are only available in electronic format on the CWIHP website at cwihp.si.edu. An announcement will be made when they are available in hardcopy.

We have also posted a revised edition of WP# 21, Andrzej Paczkowski and Andrzej Werblan, "On the Decision to Introduce Martial Law in Poland in 1981: Two Historians Report to the Commission on Constitutional Oversight of the SEJM of the Republic of Poland" (with three documents as appendices).
