The Workers War: Home Front Recalled
The new website recording the experiences of British workers and trade unions on the Home Front during the 1939-1945 World War has been completed. A total number of 381 images and documents together with 95 oral history interviews with Home Front veterans and 5 Historical Narratives have been published on the site. Captions have been written for all of the images and 19 "Share Your Story" contributions were sent in by readers. Links to Further Resources and Teachers' Notes have been loaded onto the site.
