The Kheel Centerfor Labor-Management Documentation & Archives at Cornell University is pleased to announce that Curtis Lyons has accepted the position of Director, beginning April 21, 2008.
Mr. Lyons is currently Head of Special Collections and Archives at Virginia Commonwealth Universityin Richmond, VA. Prior to his current assignment at VCU Libraries, he served as Archives Specialist at the University of Tennessee Archives, where he was responsible for supervising the University of Tennessee system and Knoxville campus archives. He holds both a BA in History and Political Science and an MA in History from the University of Tennessee with a concentration in historical theory and methodology.
Richard Strassberg, long-time Director of the Kheel Center, retired in October 2007. Patrizia Sione will serve as interim director until Mr. Lyons' arrival.
