This website is an initiative of Stefan R. Landsberger (Leiden University, University of Amsterdam) and the International Institute of Social History, Amsterdam.
chineseposters.net will grow to contain a large collection of Chinese propaganda posters, a gallery of highlights, web exhibitions, related images and information, such as artists' biographies, a bibliography and a selection of texts on Chinese art, propaganda and posters.
167 Highlights from Landsberger's and the IISH collections are on display in the Kunsthal, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, from 14 June to 21 September 2008.
