Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell MP at MML

On Tuesday 2 October a 7pm members-only Special General Meeting will be followed, at 730pm, by a public lecture from McDonnell on the Economic Policy of the Labour Party. We anticipate that this will be well attended; get there in good time to secure a seat.

The Race Relations Act 1968

Our 'Windrush 70' event previously billed for 8 October has been cancelled. Instead Wilf Sullivan, TUC Race Equality Officer, will speak on the Politics and Legacy of the 1968 Race Relations Act on 30 October at 7pm. Book tickets for MML's Black History Month event here.

Engels Memorial Lecture

The MML, joint with the Working Class Movement Library in Salford, announce a new annual Engels Memorial Lecture. This inaugural lecture will be on 'Engels before Marx' and will be delivered by Professor Terrell Carver of Bristol University on 28 November at 7pm. Further details and tickets here.

Digitisation Appeal

We are over half way there! Help us raise just a bit more to reach our target of £1000. This new equipment will transform our ability to digitise our unique collections, preserve them and make them available to audiences around the world. Can you help? Donate here.

Book Sale

Plans are already underway for our next book sale on 13 October. Put the date in your diary! We'll be selling lots of new stock 11am to 3pm.
