New On-Line Guide to Russian Archives

M.J. Berry and M.J. Ilic, Using the Russian Archives: an Informal Practical guide for Beginners Based on Users' Experience. British Academic Committee for Collaboration With Russian Archives, in association with the Centre for Russian and East European Studies, University of Birmingham.

Part 1 of this guide, covering Moscow archives, first published July 1999, has been revised for electronic publication and is now available on-line at www.soviet-archives-research.co.uk. Part 2, covering regional archives, is in the process of revision and will be posted at a later date.
