CfP: Livestock as Global and Imperial Commodities: Economies, Ecologies and Knowledge Regimes, c. 1500 – present

his year's annual Commodities of Empire international workshop will take place from 14 to 15 July 2022 at the Freie Universität Berlin, in collaboration with the DFG funded project Commodifying Cattle. It investigates livestock commodities and commodification processes in global and imperial history. Deadline for the submission of paper proposals is 31st of January.

Museums and Movements | WORKLAB General Conference

WORKLAB – International Association of Labour Museums – is organising a general conference in late November. Worklab Conference 2021 will be held by The Musée de l’histoire Vivante (Museum of Living History) in Montreuil, France November 29 – December 1 2021. The Museum of Living History, located in an old Italian villa, in a marvellous park near Paris, will provide a unique and authentic venue for the conference. The Call for papers is closed and the program is now published.

Migrant voices: Community collaboration and telling migration histories

Contributions are invited from Australia and overseas for publication in Oral History Australia’s journal, Studies in Oral History, No. 44, 2022

This special issue proposes to explore the doing, collecting, and promoting of oral histories with migrant, refugee or diaspora subjects and communities. Papers that explore the migrant voice, and the sharing of migrant voices in public spaces, broadly defined, are invited.
