Postgraduate oppportunities in economic and social history

We are delighted to announce the creation of a new PhD programme in Economic and Social History at the University of Southampton. This has been set up in conjunction with the establishment of the University’s ESRC Doctoral Training Centre. We are planning to recruit PhD students from the start of the new academic year and we intend to establish a new Masters programme in Economic and Social History from October 2012.

The ESH team in Southampton brings together a range of staff who are located in a number of different academic disciplines across the University, including Economics, Gerontology, History, Management, Modern Languages, Social Statistics, and Sociology and Social Policy. The Southampton DTC is able to offer up to eighteen PhD studentships.
