Globalization, the digital revolution, the ecological crisis, the unsustainable nature of contemporary economic systems are only some of the considerable phenomena redefining the principal challenges to progress as defined by the SDGs, the goals for sustainable development launched by the United Nations in September 2015.
Within this complex and shifting scenario, which calls to action institutions, research bodies and international organizations alike, there is an increasing demand for professionals able to operate at various levels in new and traditional careers pertaining to sustainability: the Sustainable Development Jobs.
The University of Milan-Bicocca and Fondazione G. Feltrinelli are presenting a Second Level Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development Jobs, in collaboration with the University of Milan, the Politecnico of Milan, the University of Pavia and the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASvIS).
A high-level multidisciplinary course based on a strong synergy between theory and practice which aims at developing skills and know-how, putting together sustainability’s multiple facets and provide an alternative to the verticality of a sector-focused approach.
This Master provides an interdisciplinary approach, with lectures, laboratory activities and workshops led by Institutions and Companies that will take you through an intensive part-time itinerary. This program is aimed both at post-graduate students and professionals, from the private sector, the public administration, government and international agencies.
Sustainability manager, sustainability ambassador, community engager, communication specialist, research advisor: these are the profiles more and more frequently encountered today among multinationals, in SMBs and in Public Administration. They are professionals requiring diverse and multidisciplinary skills (from project management to community and stakeholder engagement, from science diplomacy to sustainability culture) to give form and substance to the SDGs, skills which should also be seen as enhancing one’s career development.
