The international history of the twentieth century was long viewed primarily through the lens of nation-states, their foreign policies, and international institutions. In recent years, however, this focus has shifted. Exciting new scholarship now moves beyond the ‘national’, centering for instance on internationalisms in world socialist theory and practice or anti-colonial internationalisms of the Bandung era.
We hereby invite all interested colleagues to submit research papers, review articles, discussion papers, and thematic essays for the thematic issue of the journal Facta Universitatis: Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology and History, Vol. 19, No 2, 2020.

In the face of the pandemic spread of Covid-19, after evaluating all the sanitary, organizational and economic implications, as well as the forecasts on the progress of the disease, the ICHS Board together with the Organizing Committee in Poznan came to the belief that it is not reasonable to hold the Congress on the scheduled date. Consequently, we announce the postponement of the Congress to 22-28 August 2021.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience and hope to meet with all of you in Poznan next year.
De nos jours, une institution capitale de la vie sociale des milieux populaires se trouve en pleine régression : il s’agit de ces lieux de sociabilité qu’étaient jadis les cafés, bistrots, tavernes et autres débits de boissons, dont le nombre diminue sensiblement – en France uniquement, on ne recense plus que 30 000 cafés dans les années 2010 là où il y en avait plus de 200 000 dans les années 1960.
