This cross-disciplinary conference explores the relationship between work, clothes and social change at the turn of the twentieth century.

Les Archives nationales et la Fondation Jean-Jaurès retracent la carrière de Jean Jaurès à travers une exposition visible du 5 Mars au 2 Juin 2014 : autour de 200 documents, la plupart inédits, l'événement sera l'occasion de redécouvrir cette grande figure politique française, qui œuvrait pour la paix à l'aube de la Grande Guerre. L'exposition  retrace le parcours de ce normalien brillant, historien, grand orateur et plume parmi ses pairs politiciens et journalistes, fondateur du journal L'Humanité, père du socialisme, justicier et pacifiste.

In den 70er Jahren gab es in der Bundesrepublik und Westberlin etwa hundert Gruppen der Roten Hilfe. Als engagierter Teil einer linksradikalen Fundamentalopposition organisierten sie Teach-ins, medizinische Hilfe und Demonstrationen, studierten das Mietrecht, besuchten Gefangene in den Knästen, schickten ihnen Pakete und besetzten Häuser.

A new and extensive database is available for all those who want to find out in which cities and for what kind of employment Dutch Trade Unions appeared.

In the Netherlands we nowadays count a huge number of Trade Union Federations, as well as a few dozens of non-affiliated Unions.

There is a big ongoing debate about the Trade Union's future rationale of existence. No matter one’s point of view, good knowledge of the history of Trade Unionism is indispensable in forming an opinion.
