We would like to invite you to submit abstracts on 'Workers' Struggles and Nationalist Movements in the Arab World, 1900-present.' We are directing a workshop on this theme at the Tenth Mediterranean Research Meeting which will take place near Florence (Italy) on 25 -28 March 2009.

Remembering Ruth and Eddie Frow
The Trustees of the Working Class Movement Library would be very pleased to hear from anyone with a suggestion on how best to remember Ruth and Eddie Frow, the joint founders of the library.
Eddie died in 1997, Ruth died earlier this year. In establishing the WCML they made an incalculable contribution to saving and popularising the history of working class social, industrial and cultural movements of the last 200 years.

I am writing to provide details of the Noel Butlin Archives Centre Annual Lecture, and to call for Membership Renewals for the year 2008-9.
The Annual Lecture, to be presented by Michael Piggott is titled "Alchemist Magpies? Collecting Archivists and Their Critics", and will be held on Tuesday 16 September, from 5.30pm-7pm in the McDonald Room of the Menzies Library, ANU. Refreshments will follow the lecture.
