Call for Papers: Essex FRESH Meeting: Migration Flows in Historical Perspective

ESRC (Britain’s Economic and Social Research Council) have sponsored FRESH for 3 meetings across the UK over the next 2 years. The first one was a 2-day meeting hosted at LSE. This meeting at Essex will be a 1-day workshop centered on the economic history of migration, organised by Tim Hatton and Rowena Gray. A keynote lecture will be delivered by Tim Hatton.
It is with great sadness that we share the news that we have lost an outstanding scholar and a very dear friend: Robert W. Fogel, Director of the Center for Population Economics at the University of Chicago and Charles R. Walgreen Distinguished Service Professor of American Institutions at Chicago Booth, passed away June 11, 2013 after a brief illness.
