Die "Rote Revue" war die Theoriezeitschrift der Sozialdemokratischen Partei der Schweiz und erschien zwischen 1921 und 2009. Zu den Mitbegründern gehörten Robert Grimm und Ernst Nobs. Nobs, der 1943 als erster Sozialdemokrat in den Bundesrat gewählt wurde, war 1921 auch der erste Redaktor der Zeitschrift. Die "Rote Revue" verstand sich als Organ theoretischer Auseinandersetzung und Bildung. Neben programmatischen Artikeln finden sich Beiträge zu den verschiedensten Politikfeldern: Kultur, Wissenschaft, Wohnen, Militär, Neutralität, Wirtschaft, Europa.

Gertrud Lenz, wissenschaftliche Referentin im Archiv der sozialen Demokratie der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, hat sich in ihrer Dissertation mit Gertrud Meyer beschäftigt. Als "Lebens- und Kampfgefährtin Willy Brandts im Widerstand gegen den Nationalsozialismus und im Exil" war Gertrud Meyer eine bedeutende Akteurin des linkssozialistischen Exils der 1930er und 1940er Jahre.

Depuis au moins le Nouveau Monde Amoureux de Charles Fourier jusqu'à l'affirmation de militantes de Tout ! - « Votre libération sexuelle n’est pas la nôtre ! »1 -, en passant par les surréalistes français confrontés aux accusations des communistes de « compliquer les rapports si simples et si sains de l'homme et de la femme »2, la question des sexualités et plus largement de l’amour percute l’engagement révolutionnaire, dans toutes ses dimensions.

Traditional labour history focuses at just one segment of workers: wage earners in industry, agriculture, mining and transport. Other segments, however, like domestic servants, soldiers, housewives and unfree workers are ignored. Hence, this volume investigates the theoretical implications of a broader view of the working class.

On 26 August 1896 the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, a small nationalist social-democratic organization, occupied the Ottoman Bank’s main office in Istanbul. While the occupation ended that same night, a widespread massacre of Armenians began. Both the perpetrators and the victims of the massacres were predominantly unskilled migrant labourers from the Eastern Anatolian provinces. Overshadowed by the tragic events during World War One, the Armenian massacre in1896 remained relatively understudied.
