The theme of Dutch History Month, October 2012, is The Poor and the Rich. As a matter of course, the IISH joins in the various cultural events and presents (in Dutch):

Up to the end of the 20th century the sociology of work as well as social history and the history of labour analysed work within the framework of the nation state and national institutional settings.
