Business & Labour History Symposium:
Globalisation and Labour in the Pacific: Re-evaluating the 1890 Maritime Strike,
9.00-5.30pm, Thursday 4 November 2010, Copthorne Hotel Auckland City, New Zealand.
Symposium will address the 1890 strike, its broader political and historical impact, the nature of Pacific Rim connections in the labour market and between labour organisations, lessons for contemporary labour relations in the maritime industry in the Pacific, and the impact of globalisation generally in Pacific Rim labour relations. All welcome.
Fee: $40 includes lunch and refreshments.
