2018 Annual Conference of the German Studies Association
September 27-30, 2018 - Pittsburgh, PA
Much has been written about "the year that changed the world," helping shape and confound its historical significance. 50 years later, 2018 marks a milestone for the history of 1968 and its place in longer genealogies of protest. This panel invites papers that revisit and/or propose new and different approaches to study and understand 1968 from a range of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. Please send proposals (250 words) to both organizers, Susanne Rinner at s_rinner@uncg.edu and Peter Schweppe at peter.schweppe@utoronto.ca by February 5th, 2018. Submissions should include name, affiliation, and contact information.
