New online Journal: MONITOR - Global Intelligence on Racism

Mission

Fortunately, sophisticated academic research on racism has exploded over the last two decades. Journals, books, research networks, and meetings provide the intelligence that the world needs to see racism, and understand it.

Yet most of this intelligence is not available to the general public, or the policy communities that so desperately need it, around the world.

Monitor’s mission is to bridge this gap. As a monthly magazine and portal, we act as a channel to bring the most innovative research on racism around the world to global civil society and policy communities. Our aim is to work in partnership with organisations and institutions who share this commitment: museums, NGOs, artists, international political organisations, and Trades Unions.

We are based at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute, Florence. The Schuman Centre has been a world leading research hub for expertise in migration and cultural diversity. Monitor is proud to build on that rich tradition.
