14th Spanish Congress of Sociology (Murcia, Spain, June 30–2 July 2022)
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: From 18 October to 21 January 2022
From 30 June to 2 July 2022 the 14th Spanish Sociology Conference, with the theme: “Inequalities, borders and resilience. Sociology for global crises”, will be held in Murcia, Spain. The Spanish Federation of Sociology will organise the conference with the assistance of the Universidad de Murcia.
The most important sociology event in Spain
The last conference held in Valencia in 2019 proved to be a great success: more than 1400 registered delegates, 1500 communications, 2400 authors, 43 working groups and 40 programmed events. It was attended by more than 100 international researchers.
What to expect
✓ the largest forum in Spain for presenting a wide range of top sociological research
✓ diagnosis of contemporary Spanish society and the international context
✓ a meeting point for professionals and institutions associated with sociology and similar disciplines to share experiences and improve their work
FES and the congress organisers are making a special effort to internationalise the event, with the following activities:
- More international orientation of some of the plenary events of the congress.
- Instructions in English and the possibility of texts and presentations in English in a number of WGs and sessions.
- A selection of internationally oriented working groups will include in their calls the possibility of organising some online sessions (the WGs management teams will select the communications and organise the sessions that will be held online).
These selected working groups are the following:
WG11: Southern European Societies. In collaboration with the ESA Research Network 27 "Southern European Societies" and our colleagues in the Network of Sociological Associations of Southern Europe-RESU.
WG41: Comparative Sociology between Latin America and Europe. WG32: International Studies, Area Studies and Globalisation.
WG25: Sociology of Migration
