“CANTIERI DELLA RESISTENZA”

1. The National Institute "Ferruccio Parri" promotes a biannual event of reflection and historiographical comparison on the topic of Resistance, called ‘Cantieri della Resistenza’ (‘Workshop of Resistance’). The 2023 edition of the ‘Cantieri’ will be dedicated to the theme "From the Wars of Fascism to the Resistance" and will be held in Milan, at Casa della Memoria, on 30 November and 1 December 2023.

1. The National Institute “Ferruccio Parri” promotes the third edition of the Claudio Pavone Prize for unpublished research on antifascism and the Resistance.

The Center for Portuguese Studies and Culture is pleased to announce that it will host an international conference on the 4th, 5th, and 6th of April 2024 on the campus of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. The theme is “The Carnation Revolution: Global Perspectives”.

In recent years, scholars in historical and secular studies have become increasingly interested in communist attitudes towards religion, communist regimes’ efforts to uproot religion (Smolkin 2018), and interactions between Marxists and Christians (most recently Ramšak/Mithans/Režek 2023) (Burchardt/Wohlrab-Sahr/Middell 2015).
