The purpose of the conference is to discuss the historical experience of, and perspectives for development of, the social, political and intellectual tendencies comprising the anti-totalitarian left in Russia and internationally.

On February 12, 2003 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., The Tamiment Library at New York University will be hosting a book talk by Steven Norwood. Professor Norwood will be discussing his new book. This study is a pioneering work on the culture, ideology, and practice of strikebreaking during the early years of the last century. Unfortunately, this is a story that has become very familiar today.
The Tamiment Library is located on the 10th floor of NYU's Elmer Holmes Bobst Library, 70 Washington Square South in New YorkCity.
