The first phase of an exciting new online resource was launched last week. THE UNION MAKES US STRONG website at www.unionhistory.info will present a history of the British trade union movement since the early 19th century, based on digitised images from the TUC Library Collections.
This first phase includes a Timeline of images and documents from 1815-1960 and a History of the 1888 Match Workers Strike including digitised pages from the Strike Fund Register.

The New York Labor History Association (NYLHA) invites submissions of articles for its Labor History News Service.
Since 1984 NYHLA has offered labor newspapers a Labor History News Service that distributes to subscribers a labor and working class history article every month. These articles appear in dozens of subscribing labor union publications around the United States.
We would like to invite submission of articles for distribution. We are now paying $100 for each 800-word piece we accept.
