New rarities in the Library of the Labour Movement’s Collection of Socialism (Finland)

The Library of the Labour Movement, Finland, has supplemented its Collection of Socialism, Marxism and Other Leftist Ideologies with relevant, and partly rare, foreign ephemera and booklets. The material has been catalogued into the library’s database and is now available for public use. The cataloguing project was funded by Yrjö Sirola Foundation.

 A revista Esboços: histórias em contextos globais convida pesquisadores a submeterem artigos para o dossiê “Universidad y política: actores, conflictos y miradas globales” organizado por Nayla Pis Diez (UNLP/CONICET) e Guadalupe Seia (CONICET/UBA). Os artigos devem ser enviados até 01 de outubro de 2021 a través da plataforma da revista. O dossiê será publicado 01 de maio de 2022.

CfP: Socialism in the English-speaking Caribbean

Organised workers’ movements first appeared as a significant social force in the British Caribbean Region Colonies before the Second World War. Anticolonial movements began to gather momentum in the region around the same time. Socialists and socialist ideas played a significant part in both sets of movements, particularly as they developed and began to see political success in the post-war era.

CfP: NS-Bibliothekspolitik und -praxis in Europa

Zu den Aufgaben der Luxemburger Nationalbibliothek gehört u.a. die Erforschung der Luxemburger Bibliothekslandschaft vom Echternacher Skriptorium bis ins 21. Jahrhundert. Die Tagung NS-Bibliothekspolitik und -praxis in Europa schreibt sich in diesen Forschungsschwerpunkt ein. Ziel ist es, die Bibliothekslandschaft in den angeschlossenen und besetzten Gebieten im europäischen Vergleich zu beschreiben.
