CfP: Silent Works. Hidden human labor in AI-driven capitalism

This is a call for papers (CfP) dealing with the hidden human labor in
AI-driven capitalism. Curated by Magdalena Taube and Krystian Woznicki,
the series of papers will be published in the Berliner Gazette as part
of the exhibition and conference project SILENT WORKS. Please read the

Le GIS GESTES crée en 2020 un Prix de Thèse du Gestes, afin de valoriser des thèses de qualité, dont l’appréciation est fondée sur les critères suivants :
1) le lien thématique de la thèse avec le programme scientifique du GESTES (travail et santé au travail)

2) le caractère pluridisciplinaire de la thèse.

Website launch: "Historia obrera"

A new website on Argentina’s labour history has been launched.

The independent www.historiaobrera.com.ar offers numerous resources and multimedia content including books, postcasts, music, and films.

The initiative counts with the support of a number of worker organisations including the Sindicato de Luz y Fuerza de Mar del Plata, Asociación del Personal de la UNMdP and Asociación Gremial de Trabajadores/as del Subterráneo y el Premetro (AGTSyP).

The Journal of Agrarian Change seeks contributions to a symposium on Capitalism, Crisis and Covid: Agrarian Political Economy in Disrupted Circuits of Capital and Labour

Covid-19 is re-configuring the global capitalist system. It has disrupted the functioning of capitalism in unprecedented ways. The flow of commodities has slowed dramatically, and labour has experienced a mass loss of work. 

Työväenliikkeen kirjasto (Helsinki): Reopening and online materials

The Library of the Labour Movement in Finland, member of the IALHI, has reopened for public after the first COVID-19 pandemia closing. It also provides free access to a number of online materials at: https://helda.helsinki.fi/handle/10138/139700.

Most of the materials are in Finnish but there are also something in English or other languages for example in the Internationals and the Working life section of the Helda Digital Archive.
