Together and Apart. The Urban Family in Russia in the 20th century
IISH Exhibition in Moscow
On 13 September 2013 the exhibition "Together and Apart. The Urban Family in Russia in the 20th century" opened its doors in Moscow. It was jointly organised by the International Institute of Social History (IISH) and the Schusev State Architectural Museum, situated at a stone’s throw from the Kremlin. At the root of the exhibition are the results of the IISH research project "Work, Income and the State in Russia and the Soviet Union'' on the impact of the events of the turbulent twentieth century on the family in Russia.

Integrity Project Conferences
The Integrity Project is an interdisciplinary project which explores the social, institutional, political and psychological preconditions for acting and speaking with integrity; those which undermine the possibility of integrity; and the consequences for individuals and societies of widespread failures of integrity. The project team are organizing two conferences for the spring and summer of 2014, and are looking for historians who would be interested in contributing a paper that connects with the project’s themes.
