Amsab-ISG werkte mee aan de nieuwe portaalwebsite www.socialhistoryportal.org. Die geeft toegang tot honderdduizenden gedigitaliseerde documenten over sociale geschiedenis, onder meer uit onze collectie.

Met enige trots melden we dat Amsab-ISG een van de eerste organisaties is die een stuk van zijn collectie ter beschikking stelt op het platform Opencultuurdata.be.

International Conference on the Comparative Social Histories of Labour in the Oil Industry

The International Institute of Social History (IISH) organizes a conference to be held from 13 until 16 June 2013 in Amsterdam on the comparative social histories of labour in the oil industry.

The conference is part of the larger project Labour in the Iranian Oil Industry at the IISH, which is supported by the Netherlands Organization of Scientific Research (NWO).

Dr. Sean Holmes (BrunelUniversity) and Dr. Andrew Dawson (University of Greenwich) are planning a session for the European Social Science History Conference in Vienna in April 2014 on working in the British film and television industries. Our intention is that the papers presented at this session should form the basis for an edited collection, a follow-up toDawson and Holmes, eds., Working in the Global Film and Television Industries: Creativity, Systems, Space, Patronage (London: Bloomsbury Academic, 2012).

The Working Class Culture area of the Mid-Atlantic Popular and American Culture Association invites you to participate in the annual MAPACA conference. This year's conference will be in Atlantic City, NJ, Nov. 7-9, 2013.
