CfA: LABOR: Studies in Working-Class History 2023 Translation Prize

LABOR: Studies in Working-Class History would like to announce its first ever translation prize for new works in labor history in the Spanish and Portuguese languages.  We invite scholars to submit unpublished manuscripts that focus on aspects of labor and/or working-class history in any time period or region for consideration by a committee that will be directed by Professor Brodwyn Fischer and include professors Paulo Fontes, Jeffrey Gould, and Ángela Vergara.  LABOR will cover the costs of translating the winning essay which will appear in print in 2024.  We ask that manuscripts

The ELHN Working Group Precarious Labour brings together scholars that are interested in the history of precarious labour all over the world. The Working Group’s objective is to study precarity in all its manifestations and effects as well as to animate discussions about conceptual issues, workers’ responses and making global comparisons and connections.
