De 'economic turn' is een belangrijke ontwikkeling in de joodse geschiedschrijving van de afgelopen vijftien jaar. Wat was de specifieke economische positie van Joden, hoe kunnen we dit verklaren? Welke invloed had dit op hun plek in de maatschappij en de manier waarop men naar Joden keek en hoe Joden zichzelf zagen?

BARBARA WERTHEIMER PRIZE IN LABOR HISTORY
To recognize serious study in labor and work history among undergraduate students, the New York Labor History Association annually awards the Barbara Wertheimer Prize for the best research paper written during the previous academic year. Wertheimer was a leading labor educator and scholar.
