ICOFOM propose un colloque autour de deux thèmes inspirés par le processus de renouvellement de la définition du musée et des grandes tendances qui contribuent à transformer les musées. Ces deux thèmes centraux soulèvent de nombreuses interrogations sur la mission première du musée. La décolonisation est au cœur de la remise en question fondamentale de la fonction sociale du musée. Conséquemment, ce sont les discours, voire les mythes d’origine des nations, qui sont contestés.
L’Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 et MO.CO. Montpellier Contemporain, avec le soutien de l’Institut national d’histoire de l’art, organisent le 16 octobre 2020 une journée d’étude sur « la visibilité des collections privées dans les institutions culturelles publiques ». L’évènement résulte d’une carte blanche pour l’histoire de l’art en région, proposée par l’INHA, afin de valoriser un projet favorisant une collaboration entre l’université et un musée de proximité.

The conference «Adaption – Autonomy – Continuity. Academia in Times of Crises», organized by the SNSF project «Science Transnational. Switzerland and Forced Academic Migrants 1933 to 1950» will take place from 26th to 28th of October 2020.
Migration scholars have increasingly recognized the importance of attending to multi-directional, cross-border connections between sending and receiving countries in defining the migrant experience. Yet, in understanding the implications of contemporary migration for governments and public policy, the majority of migration research has mainly focused on the perspective of receiving nation-states, centering on issues of control, economic impact, and immigrant integration.
Studying the history of translation is a practice taking place in the present – a present trying to understand itself by looking at its past. In order to facilitate this understanding, Chronotopos introduces a new section: On a regular basis, Chronotopos will include thematic foci in its issues that bring together papers on a specific topic related to the history of translation and interpreting. This way, Chronotopos can function as a discursive hub and create reference points for future projects.
