The purpose of this call for papers of the Journal “Dve domovini/Two Homelands” is to critically analyze the relationship between Coronavirus and migration, with a particular attention to institutional discrimination, new inequalities, racism, but also to the forms of resistance put in place by migrants for the respect of their rights, their dignity, their health.

À l’occasion du LVIIe congrés internacional des américanistes qui se déroulera du 19 au 23 juillet 2021 à Foz do Iguaçu au Brésil, nous vous invitons à participer à notre groupe de travail :  Femmes, amérindiennes et leaders sur la scène politique. Parcours, pratiques et rôles en Amérique latine. Dans ce groupe de travail, nous nous intéresserons aux femmes politiques amérindiennes, à leurs parcours, à leurs positions, à leurs discours et à leurs pratiques. Plus particulièrement, nous nous interrogerons sur la place et le rôle des femmes amérindiennes dans la scène politique actuelle.

It is from the 1960's on that Walter Benjamin's work reaches an ever growing reception in the scope of Critical Theory, Art and Literary Criticism, as well as in the field of Media Studies, Theory of History and of Experience, Philosophy of Language, among others.

The international network Humanities for Change, in accordance with the interdisciplinary spirit and the contaminatory approach that characterize its activities, intends to organize a day of study on the theme of public humanities. The meeting aims to stimulate some reflections coming from different fields of knowledge and to encourage the dialogue between researchers on the possibilities of the humanities to escape from academic circles.

Des politiques sociales considérées par leurs promoteurs et promotrices comme susceptibles de contrecarrer les inégalités de genre ont été développées et expérimentées dans les dernières années en Europe, à l’instar des mesures de soutien pour les victimes de violences sexuelles et conjugales, du développement des structures d’accueil extrafamilial ou encore de la formation et de l’insertion en emploi des jeunes filles et des femmes chômeuses et migrantes, notamment.

World History Connected is a 14-year-old affiliate of the World History Association published by the University of Illinois Press. It is currently seeking papers for a special issue on new research and also exciting scholarship of teaching on topics germane to the interdisciplinary field of Empires and World History, which embraces, but is not limited to, trans-regional, comparative, gender, and, global studies. Submissions should be received by November 1 for possible publication in the February issue of 2021. Submissions on other topics are also welcome at any time.

The proposed issue of Critical Interventions addresses appropriations of black cultural aesthetics in regions that historically lack significant and visible Black communities, such as Asia and/or Eastern Europe. Our objective is to use such instances to mount a critique of Eurocentric perspectives on Eastern European and Asian art and cultural practices, and also to deconstruct scholarly binaries that read these areas only in relation to their engagements with the West.

Commencée au XVIIIe siècle en Angleterre, la Révolution industrielle gagne la Belgique puis la France avant d’atteindre les espaces germaniques mais aussi les contrées septentrionales de l’Espagne et de l’Italie au cours du XIXe siècle. D’une manière de plus en plus active se développe un artisanat qui, au fil du temps et par des mutations techniques, s’industrialise largement. S’opère alors une mutation de bien des métiers au point que certains disparaissent ou se trouvent profondément bouleversés alors qu’éclate la Deuxième Guerre mondiale.

La revue Criminocorpus. Revue hypermédia spécialisée dans l'histoire de la justice, des crimes et des peines propose un appel à contributions pour un dossier thématique intitulé "Épidémies, crimes et justice". Ce dossier s’intéresse à l’histoire de la justice analysée à travers le prisme des épidémies de l’Antiquité jusqu’à nos jours.
